How many utilities does this tool include, anyway?

Upload manager works in conjunction with your FTP program, and keeps track of all the changes you've made in Web pages. This way once you've worked through the previous two steps, you're ready to upload the newly updated pages to your Web server so you can proceed to the submission process. Once again, this involves using a wizard-like tool which takes all the fuss out of the uploading procedure (See Figure 2).

When you first heard of WebPosition Gold, you may have thought that all it did was submit your pages to the search engines, but you can now see there is quite a bit more to it. Now your pages are ready to be submitted to the search engines. Using yet another wizard-like tool, you can choose which page or pages to submit, and which search engines to submit them to.

Additionally, the Submitter provides specific details about submitting your site to certain search engines such as Yahoo, which has different submission guidelines than most of the other search engines. It also knows that, for example, submitting more than one page per domain per day to AltaVista is likely to decrease your chances of being listed there, so it warns you if you try to do that. The Submitter not only submits the pages in batch mode for you, but saves the results so that you can see if any pages were rejected, and it will automatically re-submit those pages on the next run!
